Going places

A minibus pulls up between a pile of rocks, an industrial site and some rundown, graffitied buildings in Ras al Khaimah. Out of the bus streams an unlikely parade of people clutching cameras, sketchbooks and bottles of water: five girls in abayas and everyone else in jeans, baseball caps and trainers or walking boots. This is not some strange derelict-town tourism, but Jalal’s Art Trip, an initiative to encourage emerging artists to pursue their art with more dedication and confidence.

The trip part of the trip is done

This is only the beginning,

I finally got back home at 12:14, and by the time i was done unloading my car from all the coolers and water bottles, boxes and other remains of the day, I finally entered my house at 12:48.

The trip was smooth, and all was happy.

but now comes the work part.
all is to start working on their paintings which are to be exhibited in the gallery from the 5th to 15th April 2009.
